South Bay Union School District values family engagement and partnerships design to support the needs of all students.
On August 20, 2020 the Board of Trustees approved the 2020-2021 Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy. This policy was developed with the input of parents, families, students, and staff. The policy reflects our current educational environment and identifies strategies to increase parent and family engagement in a virtual environment. This policy will will be distributed at the start of the school year by school staff through various formats, which may include email, site level webpages, and parent handbooks.
A Virtual Extending Learning Program, before and after Distance Learning, is available to ALL students enrolled in SBUSD. See additional information under the Extended Learning Tab.
Below are links to various resources that provide services or information to families related to topics of high value to the community we serve. Organizations are listed that can provide families with additional support during COVID-19 school closures.
