Intra-district Transfer within South Bay Union School District
TRANSFER WINDOW OPENS MARCH 1ST AND CLOSES MAY 1ST OF THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR, HOWEVER DUE TO SCHOOL CLOSURES, WE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT
TRANSFER REQUESTS AFTER THE MAY 1 DEADLINE FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR.
ALL NEW TRANSFERS WILL BE REVIEWED ONCE ENROLLMENT NUMBERS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED.
ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BE REGISTERED AT THEIR SCHOOL OF RESIDENCE, AS THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT ALL REQUESTS WILL BE GRANTED.

CURRENT PROOF OF RESIDENCY
Based on projected enrollment and space capacity, the following schools will be closed to intra-district transfer requests for the 2020-2021 school year:
- Emory Elementary (TK/K-6) (Due to modernization)
Please note that Nestor Language Academy Charter handles all enrollment and transfers for the dual-immersion program at the school site level.

The window for transfer request from resident school to another school within South Bay Union School District will be accepted starting on March 1st and closing on May 1st.
Requests received after May 1st may not be considered until the start of the new school year.
Note: Students currently attending school on an approved intra-district transfer permit are not required to resubmit a new application each year when continuing at the same school. However, a new application must be submitted when a student incurs an address change that establishes new residency outside the boundaries of their attendance area.
Please complete the Intra-district Permit Application and Terms and Conditions and bring it to your school of residence, the District office or email to: tloyo@sbusd.org. Intra-district Transfer Form - English and Intra-District Transfer Form - Spanish .
You will be required to acknowledge your understanding of South Bay Union School District Transfer Terms and Conditions prior to submitting a transfer request.
