The Mission of Nestor Language Academy Charter School is to foster academic excellence, bilingualism, bilteracy and multiculturalism.  Students will develop critical thinking, technological fluency, social consciousness and multiple perspectives.

Welcome to Nestor Language Academy Charter School!  We look forward to a productive year and extend an invitation to visit our school as often as you find possible.  This is an exciting year for us.  We are now a Kindergarten through 8^th grade charter school.  We are implementing 7^th grade this year, and will follow with 8^th grade next year.  We are truly thrilled that we will be able to offer families the opportunity for their children to continue with their dual immersion education through middle school.  The primary focus of our program is that all of our students become proficient bilingual and biliterate students who are prepared for our global society.  We hope to work together with you to help us accomplish this goal. 

Our parent handbook is designed to provide you with information regarding services and programs available at Nestor Language Academy.  It also serves to address our rules and dress code. If you have a question that is not addressed in this handbook, please feel free to call or visit our school office.  The entire Nestor Language Academy Staff is here to serve you and your child.  A copy of our handbook is also available on our school website:  www.sbusd.org/nestor

We encourage you to become an active member of our school team and help us to continuously improve the quality of instruction for our Nestor Language Academy students.  Our handbook also provides you with information on the parent groups available at our school that will help you become more involved.  Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in our school in as many ways possible.
