Imperial Beach Elementary School Community,

My name is Pamela Reichert-Montiel and I am pleased to introduce myself to you as the new Principal of Imperial Beach Elementary. It is a pleasure for me to be returning to the Imperial Beach School community after working for seven years at the Education Center.

This will be my 22^nd year in the South Bay Union School District. I started my career as a Bilingual Teacher at Berry Elementary School on October 24^th, 1990, and have held the position of Resource Teacher, Reading & Professional Development Specialist, Coordinator of Educational Services, and most recently, Director of Educational Services.

I am especially excited about taking on the role of Principal of Imperial Beach School because of my history here. Not only was I the Reading & Professional Development Specialist for seven years, but my daughter attended school at Imperial Beach School from Kindergarten through third grade. As both a staff member and a parent, I have experienced first hand the strong sense of community found amongst students, parents, and staff.

Throughout my career I have made it my goal to strive for academic and social excellence. I believe that all students can, and will learn, given the opportunity to do so. I believe that our children can accomplish great things when provided with the support of both the school and the home. It is truly a team effort, one of which teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, and community all play an important role.

I encourage your on-going involvement in your child’s education, and welcome you to attend any and all school events. . In addition, please feel free to introduce yourself when you see me on campus.
