Dear Emory Parents/Guardians,
As we begin the 2012/2013 school year, I want to take the time to welcome you to another exciting year! As I begin serving my fourth year as Emory's principal, I can sincerely tell you that Emory is an outstanding school and I am confidant that your child/ren will receive an excellent educational experience at Emory. I am truly looking forward to the opportunity to work with you and your children.
At Emory, we believe in working collaboratively with parents in order to meet the educational needs of all students, and to encourage a desire and motivation for learning. It is our goal to provide a safe and secure environment for your child that promotes positive social interaction and mutual respect so quality teaching and learning can occur.
Developing quality partnerships between school personnel and parents is an essential part of your childs success and will only enhance the educational experience for your child. I encourage you as the new school year begins to stop by and say hello to me, to get to know your child's teacher, and to get involved in parent organizations such as the PTA/PTO.
Please know that we welcome parent input, and my door is always open if you would like to talk about your positive experiences at Emory Elementary, ideas you have for improvement, or concerns you may have about the school or your child. As the year goes on, we will provide you with additional information about upcoming parent meetings and other opportunities to get involved at Emory.
