Students will be expected to complete homework daily. The homework each day will be:
1) Math Practice
2) Spelling/ Phonics Assignment
3) Reading for 20 minutes with an adult.
If your child has any unfinished class work, they will need to finish it at home for homework. Any homework assignments not turned in on time will be completed during recess time.
Your child will be writing the titles of books they have read on a Reading Log, which should be kept in their folder. You will also need to sign their Reading Log indicating that you have read with your child that day.
It is important that you check and review your childâs homework daily to better support your childâs progress and to help them build good work habits. Consequently, students who are consistent and are accurate with their homework assignments tend to score better on their tests and earn higher grades. |
