It is the goal of the department to provide safe and efficient transportation to and from school for all students in the district who qualify for this service. Below is helpful information for general bus stops and special needs.

Routes and Bus Stops
Transportation routes and stops are designed to promote the safety of students and maximum efficiency in the use of buses.
Students who reside beyond the minimum walking distance shall be eligible for transportation service to and from their school of residence.
Walking distances to a school or bus stop are:
Kindergarten: three-fourth mile (3/4 mile)
Grades 1-3: one and one-fourth mile (1-1/4 mile)
Grades 4-6:one and one-half mile (1-1/2 mile)
Special Needs Bus Stops
Transportation for students with disabilities shall be provided in accordance with a students Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 accommodation plan.
For students identified as needing specialized transportation services outlined in the IEP, the information will be forwarded to the Transportation Department for scheduling. Once the student is scheduled, the Transportation Department will contact the parent with route information.
