Dear Parents,
Another school year has begun and I am looking forward to meeting you and getting to know your children. We have both fun and challenging tasks ahead, and I can't wait to begin.
You have probably been reading about "No Child Left Behind" and state standards for Math and Language Arts. Expectations are high and we will be working diligently all year to enable your children to meet or exceed them. The district and our school site have scheduled workshops and classes for teachers and a few new programs for students to help us all reach our full potential. However, I also expect the students to take responsibility for their own learning. You can help in the following ways:

A newsletter goes home each week. Please read it with your child and post it so everyone know what is happening in class.

Weekly progress reports go home on Monday. These need to be signed and returned.
